Jared Harrelson

I am a US Army veteran, having served for 22 years and worked at the corporate, strategic, and functional levels as a special operations intelligence collector and analyst, information technology professional, human resources professional, and as an associate professor of military science at the University of Kentucky. I made my decision to serve shortly after September 2001, enlisting as an intelligence collector and analyst. I later earned a commission in 2015 as a signal corps officer, serving as an information technology expert and afterwards as a career manager for Lieutenants and Captains. Ultimately reaching the rank of Major, my career spanned four continents, seven states, and multiple combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. 

My wife, Saskia, and I have been married for almost 20 years. We have three daughters and are active in our community through Girl Scouts, animal rescue organizations, and several veteran support organizations. We decided to make Kentucky our permanent home after being assigned to Fort Campbell, Fort Knox, and Lexington. We fell in love with the rolling hills, the horse farms, the local culture and the people.

We have moved 12 times during my military career and by necessity became intimately familiar with the process and stress of buying and selling property.
